Happy Dollars

Happy Birthday Alicia! Thanks for the $ that were the sum of the two digits of her age. 28 or 37?

We are pleased to have Maurice Williams back and he said our flowers, a first for him, made him happy..

Jay Lifson was happy about Lakers winning.

Speaker- Bud Wolf told us about the Davis Club’s Child Abuse program and its significant effect in Yolo County in reducing child abuse. In some African cultures crying babies are shaken to quiet them so as not to alert predators and that educational programs are needed.

He demonstrated an electronic infant and how shaking would produce neurological damage. Clubs provide these to schools and they are very effective in middle schools where kids can access treatment of siblings and also are aware of responsibility when baby-sitting.

Bud feels that “Media” conditions many people to feel that violence is the answer thus causing severe punishment rather than reasoning.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:30PM by Geoff
