Maurice Williams happy to have his kids employed and out of school.

Anna gave $$ for her guest Jacqueline. Jacqueline also mentioned she was the recipient of a college scholarship from Rotary.

Brandy Mychals- Owner of Split Second Perceptions
Brandy talked about the importance of first impressions. She was tired of selling and wanted to attract the right clients.
Contrary to popular belief; only 7% of our judgment of others comes from words. While 55% comes from appearance and 38% comes from presentation. Also, it is important to know your ideal client and what their needs are. She listed the different character codes and discussed how to identify each one.
Using character codes can help you spot who you can easily and effectively communicate with and build your strategic alliance. She has upcoming workshops she offered to anyone interested in attending.

Remember: Save the greenbacks!
The meeting was adjourned at 1:30PM by Troy

Global grant project boosts malaria prevention and treatment in Mali

Last year, malaria claimed the lives of almost 750,000 people in sub-Saharan Africa, 85 percent of them young children. Some of the region’s poorest residents live in Yirimadjo, Mali, and are receiving protection from the disease through a Rotary Foundation Global Grant project supported by Rotarians in four countries.

Called Bite Malaria Back, the project is providing insecticide-treated bed nets, physician services, and medications to help prevent and treat malaria.    read story.
