Czarina Debbie Cooper opened the mtg and Dave Abrahams gave the thought of the day.
Guests: Roberta Heath, looking for some nice people to meet;look on further. Along with Jay Singh, Matt Pease, Terry Comisky, Gary Watts, Ross Terrence, And Marylee G. Intr'd rapidly by Dave Baker. Sorry, no assurances on names between the low talkers and my dentistry-damaged hearing!

Annc'ed : Dave Abrahams spent to glorious weeks in Oahu and did a visitation of the Oahu Rotary Club and came home with their banner.
Ron Wake spoke once again of the largest Rotary ski race in the world!
Troy Fed was awarded his first star for being a Paul Harris Fellow.
Dick Holt had hip surgery and now thinks he's pretty hip, so to speak.
Terry Comisky spoke of a project Soroptomist Club sponsors, "Get Real" for local girls. She asked for our support to this 11 year program.
Sounded useful and helpful to the girls of our community.
John Sherry spoke of the Jeremiah O'brien adventure, coming soon.
We then suffered thru another rendition of Happy Birthday by Bill Eames for Dave Baker. Arrghh!!!
Larry Blodgett celebrated his 33rd wedding anniversary, paid his fine and then put $75 toward tickets to St. Mary's basketball that Ed Stokes put up for grabs, and donated the cash to our club.

Speaker: Cheif Eric Christensen spoke of safety and crime in Lafayette, and our roles in keeping Lafayette safe. Simply locking your doors, closing your garage door, and locking your cars would stop 50% of the burglary type crimes. Another interesting I/2 hour of crime fighting from Cheif Eric. Criminals beware!

Raffle: $2 Tom O'Sullivan, $5 Dan Baker, no jackpot won.

Helping people with disabilities make their own music

Music has been an important part of leading an ordinary life for students at the Music School for Children With Disabilities in Honor of Paul Harris in Lublin, Poland. Founded by Rotary members, the school serves 20 students with various disabilities, including Down syndrome, autism, and visual impairments. The Rotary Club of Lublin-Centrum-Maria Curie-Sklodowska has provided funding with help from Rotary Foundation Matching Grants and the Henryk Wieniawski Musical Society, which houses the school.
