Lafayette Rotary Club

Our Community: Lafayette, CA

Lafayette Rotary is involved in a number of projects that benefits our local community and the international community.

One of our signature events is the Concert at the Res that is held every May at the Lafayette Reservoir band stand that was built and financed by Lafayette Rotary and donated to the East Bay Municipal Water District for the benefit of all communities.

We organize a yearly concert performed by local youth performing arts groups and proceeds from the concert are donated to youth performing arts groups in schools throughout the area. We also put on our Tribute to the Troops Concert every July at the same location.

This concert is to honor our veterans and Blue Start Moms of our heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We also put on the annual Candy Scramble in the Lafayette Plaza Park every March or April and this is a family friendly event that brings families together to celebrate the spring season.

We also raise money for causes such as childhood education, building schools in Afghanistan, Clean Water in international communities, and to free young girls from sexual slavery. We also engage in projects to clean up and spruce up the streets and public facilities in the city of Lafayette. Rotarians are encouraged to give their time and resources to help on these projects.
